Educational Light

Homeschooling has become more than a teaching method—it’s a way of life for our family. But this space isn’t just for homeschoolers. It’s for anyone who wants to nurture learning, curiosity, and connection with their child—no matter how or where that learning happens.

It’s a rhythm of learning and loving, of slowing down to savor moments and speeding up to chase curiosity. With Lucy, I have the joy of homeschooling full-time, shaping our days around wonder, faith, giggles, and growth. On weekends, we’re blessed to share time with Anderson, and while we’re not responsible for his schooling, we still make time for intentional play, meaningful conversation, puzzles, and connection—often choosing creativity over screens.

Whether you’re homeschooling, supporting after-school learning, or simply looking for gentle encouragement and fresh ideas, I hope you find light in these pages.

Lightbulb Moments

Learning Through Their Eyes

This is the space where our children’s voices shine. Kids have a beautiful way of saying exactly what we didn’t know we needed to hear—honest, hilarious, heart-melting, and sometimes remarkably wise.

Lightbulb Moments captures those sweet, surprising, and meaningful flashes of insight from Lucy, Anderson, and the wild, wonderful world of childhood. These moments are often the reminders we need about why we parent with intention, why we teach with heart, and why this journey matters so deeply.
